A Beautiful Multicultural Wedding at the Marriott St. Louis Grand
It’s almost Valentine’s Day so I thought it would be fitting to feature a wedding with not one, but TWO amazing days of love and celebration! Trina & Greg chose to honor both their cultures over a beautiful multi-day wedding weekend last fall. We teamed up with Tiffany of Events Luxe and an awesome group of vendors to help design distinct looks for each day of the celebration at the Marriott St. Louis Grand Hotel downtown.
Saturday’s events centered on a traditional Western wedding ceremony and reception, and featured a romantic color palette of blush and gold. Trina carried a rounded bouquet featuring the most beautiful Café au Lait Dahlias, which was complimented by soft neutral bridesmaids’ bouquets. The ceremony took place in the Crystal Ballroom on the top floor of the hotel (one of our favorite ballrooms in the city!), which provided the perfect setting for the couple to say their vows. Following the ceremony guests moved downstairs for the reception, where the design was classic with lots of candlelight, gold accents and a twinkling light installation over the dance floor.
Sunday’s festivities began with a colorful Baraat down Washington Avenue (and Greg on a horse!) before guests moved inside for the Hindu wedding ceremony. Overnight the ballroom was transformed to feature an amazing red dance floor and stunning Mandap from Fatima Designs. We added beautiful red floral to the structure, and lined the aisle with textural arrangements that would later be featured on guest tables. I love how you can feel the energy and excitement of the ceremony through the photos! Kelly Park did such an amazing job capturing the joy of the day.
The ballroom was transformed yet again following the ceremony for the most dramatic look of the weekend! Red floral designs popped against gold linens, and Exclusive Events did an amazing paisley lighting treatment on the walls to add an extra layer of depth to the space. The room was gorgeous and provided the perfect backdrop for Trina & Greg to dance the night away with their family and friends!
