A Romantic Summer Wedding at the Ritz Carlton St. Louis
As the weather in St. Louis begins to warm up, the Belli Fiori team has been reminiscing about some of our favorite summer weddings from the past year, including Olivia and JT’s gorgeous celebration last July. Originally planning to celebrate their wedding in 2020, we worked with this couple to make their dreams come true for their rescheduled event in 2021. With a whopping 4000 stems of flowers, a show-stopping escort card table installation, and, of course, a wonderful couple, this wedding definitely holds a special place in Belli Fiori’s memory.
Check out these lovely flat lays of the couples’ stationery, photographed by Mike Cassimatis! The gorgeous lemon motif of the invitations, as well as the olive branch touches, were a nod to the bride’s Italian heritage and appeared throughout the wedding decor and details.
Olivia and JT’s ceremony, held at the historic church of St. Ambrose in the Hill neighborhood of St. Louis, featured plenty of stunning details, including altar arrangements and pew decor. Plus, how cute is that group of flower girls?
Who needs a Maid of Honor when you can have a Pup of Honor? Across the street from St. Ambrose, the couple stopped at Piazza Imo for some photos with their adorable dog, Stella. Local company WedPets managed Stella’s care so that Olivia and JT could relax and enjoy their day. We loved how the precious floral collar matched the bridal bouquet!
The Grand Basin at Forest Park served as a gorgeous backdrop for the wedding party’s photographs. We LOVE the summery, pastel look of these bridesmaid bouquets! The classic rounded bridal bouquet was swoon-worthy, with white dahlias, peonies, and ranunculus and some insanely gorgeous Juliet peach garden roses which were one of the bride’s favorite flowers!!!
Back at the Ritz Carlton, guests were greeted with custom lemon-laden topiaries and olive oil wedding favors, continuing the Mediterranean theme of the invitations. However, the real piéce de resistance for this reception was the over-the-top escort card table installation engineered by our over-the-top lead designer, Sandra! This absolute head-turner, with its beautiful spiral of pink, peach, and white blooms, garnered a lot of attention as Sandra stood on top of the huge table to create it. Even with a team of three, the project took over 2 hours of onsite design work, plus a lot of careful planning, clever engineering, and designing that took place in our studio beforehand. All in all, this escort table featured nearly 500 stems of flowers! This just goes to show you - if you can put trust into your floral design team, they can make big things happen.
In the Ritz Carlton’s Grand Ballroom, the wedding party was seated at a head table featuring garden-styled designs elevated overhead on acrylic stands. For guest tables, a variety of centerpiece styles and heights added visual interest to the room and showcased even more white and blush florals. White, gold and clear acrylic accents complemented the airy, feminine quality of the flowers. As a full-service event design company, we were thrilled to help Olivia and JT select details like linens, napkins and chargers as well. When choosing rentals for your wedding, keep in mind that small elements can have a big impact on the overall look and mood of your event!
After dinner, drinks and dancing, guests were delighted to discover boxes of Italian cookies, personalized with the couple’s custom monogram and “lovingly served” by Stella.
