A Summer Sunset Wedding at Silver Oaks Chateau
I love when our clients go bold with their wedding flowers, especially in the summer! We have been seeing more and more couples select bold color palettes, and it is such a refreshing change after years of blush - not that we don’t love blush, but as any wedding vendor will tell you, we saw a lot of it over the past several years. If you are drawn to color, don’t be afraid to use it!
Julie & Nate were married last August, and chose “summer sunset” as the inspiration for their wedding colors. Not only was this the perfect choice for an August wedding, but it also held special meaning for the couple. A few days before the wedding, Julie & Nate chose to say their vows in front of a small group of family and friends at sunset on the family farm in Illinois. Pulling in sunset colors for their wedding day was a beautiful way to incorporate the intimate ceremony!
The “formal” wedding day took place at the beautiful Silver Oaks Chateau, which provided the perfect blend of rustic and formal for the laid back reception. The day began with a lovely ceremony on the lawn, followed by cocktails and a raw bar on the patio where Nate treated guests to a live bluegrass performance! Guests then moved indoors to the ballroom for amazing food stations from 23 City Blocks catering before dancing the night away.
We had so much fun working with Simcha’s Events to create this colorful day. Julie & Nate, thank you for letting us be a part of your day!
