Joseph’s True Blue Bar Mitzvah
We LOVE weddings, but we also love it when we get the opportunity to design for other types of events, so we were thrilled when our dear friend Simcha of Simcha’s Events asked us to be a part of her son Joseph’s bar mitzvah celebration! This of course wasn’t your typical bar mitzvah party; when your mom is an amazing event planner how could it be?! Instead of centering the day’s festivities on a pastime, as is often the case, the theme of Joseph’s day was True Blue.
One of the reasons we enjoy working on non-wedding events is that they offer us the chance to think outside the box and use materials and color palettes that wouldn’t fit most couples’ wedding vision. Joseph’s blue day was the perfect example of this. We were asked to design tablescapes for the adults’ dinner reception being held in the Mississippi Room at the Four Seasons, which was inspired by blue agate and a modern aesthetic. Our designs featured lots of white callas, gold metal details and custom arched installations. The overall look was sleek and modern and we had so much fun to come up with the different table designs!
Simcha, thank you for letting us be a part of such a special day and creating something so unique! To see the entire day and all the fun blue details from our vendor friends, check out the L Photographie blog post on Joseph’s day here!
