From Study Buddies to Sweethearts- this couple’s wedding stole our hearts

Every so often a love story comes along that really captures our hearts, and Sharon and Abdullah are definitely one such love story.

Sharon and Abdullah first met in high school, but it wasn’t until one evening after a study group in medical school that they first acknowledge the undeniable spark of attraction. After that it was kismet. These lovebirds spent hours studying together at coffee shops and the spark of attraction blossomed into love.

We first had the pleasure of meeting this adorable couple in 2021, while they were planning their engagement ceremony. While the flowers were a highlight of the event, Sharon wanted to ensure that the look of the ceremony was simplistic and clean. The engagement structure and the urns focused on classic white florals.

Delightfully, Sharon and Abdullah continued to be a part of the Belli Fiori family as they planned their wedding together!

The couple’s ceremony and reception took place at The Sonesta Chase Park Plaza. The ceremony was a stunning affair with a massive structure covered in greenery and white flowers. Along the aisle were beautiful mirrored lanterns, and a white aisle runner to polish off this timeless wedding look.

Like many couples, Sharon and Abdullah desired a traditional wedding look with a lot of visual impact! After our production crew erected the ceremony structure, our Lead Designer and Local goddess, Sandra, swooped in with her signature flair and transformed the structure into a spectacle fit for a Queen.

For their reception, Sharon and Abdullah had an exquisite vision that incorporated a variety of elements that were meaningful to them. As designers, perhaps one of the most amazing parts of working with this couple is that they valued our experience and expertise.

It is not everyday that a couple really lets their design teams “work the room”, but Sharon and Abdullah were incredibly enthusiastic about allowing each of their vendors to bring their vision to fruition. With the addition of blush florals and elements, various styles of elevated centerpieces and a myriad of candlelight, the Khorrisan Ballroom was transformed. Our team met with Sharon and Abdullah’s other vendors- Fatima Designs and The Chase - throughout the planning process to ensure that each design element built upon the other. The result is an opulent backdrop for an unforgettable celebration.

For Sharon and Abdullah, it was important to incorporate cultural and religious elements that were meaningful to them!
